[Note: Limit is four posters in this thread (including myself.) No Villains, please?]“Things are not always so obvious; It always seemed so mundane at a time.” _______________________________ Fading light, smooth grass, and some well-rounded balls…they were all essential for a Harusagi House training session.
It was evening rather than the dead middle of the sunny day. It was preferred during the hot summers when the last rays of light were like a burning shot of fire to the skin. The backwoods had chirped with the sound of crickets and rustled with the sound of shrubs and bushes that enclosed the squared off area that was pinned on each end with a square net. It may had seem like an ordinary field meant for kickball or soccer, but in fact, it was and it made it all the more perfect for a training session for the Harusagi household.
It was probably a year or maybe longer that the Harusagi Family had taken refuge in the village after their ordeals, and the comfort was satisfying to the fullest. They had only requested two things in their past time after coming to the village: a house district for the family and a training field that was oddly requested to be Konoha’s recreational field. The exchange was odd seeing it was an unusual request, but villagers overtime had seen why after the first family member trained on the field. The rabbit-like family had outstanding leg strength that made them kick the ball like pros when it came to any game that involved their feet. The proof was in the many times the net was knitted together from one particular bunnies full spin kick that made her dress fly up and the boy’s admire the second special “trait” of the Harusagi family.
All in all, things worked out for the best, right?
The thoughts still made little Xenneth cringe as he sat his hind on the field, his finger stroking the top of the white ball in his lap as he thought about how the their special place was marked in Konoha with nothing more than a spectacular display of athleticism and a mixture of lewdness as he could still picture his big sister bending her body to show off her well rounded hips that scorched one of the training fields white balls. He was not like a bunch of his clan and family members…not fully at least. The young violet haired ninja had often had thought of the clan as too drunk on their beauty and abilities. Sure, he was proud of his persona and traits, but to flaunt it too abrasively was like always dangling candy in front of children; children with wild imaginations that thought of only one thing when they saw beautiful women in short trimmed kimonos playing sports while adorning the clan’s decorative rabbit ears that were a part of uniform and rank.
“Honestly,” the boy had said with a sigh, “Are we only known for filing out a uniform in whatever we do?!” he had asked himself, already knowing the answer considering their reputation in the grass village.
The young boy had stood up, beginning his stretches as he sewn his hands to one another by bridging his fingers. His lower body went left as he pulled his arms to the heavens and then right as he affixed his posture to get out any and all cramps and drawbacks. His mind was on the training, but only partially. Mostly these days, he was trying to get use to the village he had recently come to and became a Chuunin in the very same year because of the circumstances. The Harusagi House had recently moved in putting themselves on Konoha’s map by strengthening the military very little, but overall, supplying excellent service around the village grounds when it came to customers in shops, restaurants, and any other supporting roles. As frail as rabbits, the clan was not very good with dealing with outside circumstances such as war and fights, but on the home front, they were a reliable service when it came to attracting attention, keeping peace that they themselves promoted and loved, and also being a comfort to others.
They were as fluffy in persona and services as was a rabbit in nature: good on the eyes and admirable to see, but that was all to it.
Xenneth had recently become Chuunin, a new fire bursting in him as he looked to improve in any and everything he tried to do in the village. He was not a very powerful ninja, so he still require a Jounin to lead him, but he could at least assist at the Academy every once and again. He loved kids after all, but when it came to his inferiority complex, he often slumped at the first mention of his skills in a group. It was not like his techniques were meant for bravery; he was only good at running and traps after all! He was not at all amazing like his older sister, Mikaru and her “Chikan” techniques which were very flexible and strong, but at the same time, very perverse when it came to other ninja looking on at her like she was some sort of fiendish pervert.
He shivered again, but whether from that thought or the cold of the night that finally fallen, he was not sure.
Xenneth had saw it was training time; the sun’s fading rays replaced by the coming lunar light was a perfect sign to toss the ball upward as it eclipsed the sight of the moon from where the young rabbit had stood. His eyes had begun to move as the blue orbs glowed within the darkness with the light that reflected into them. His feet shuffled quickly in a jittery dance before they made a quick knee kicking the ball upward and then juggled it about between both of his legs. This repeated as he had let the glowing jewel like eyes follow the ball as if he was trying to keep sight of a target he was to fire an arrow at.
It was a nice night, and he could not help but to notice as his eyes could see the stars that were past beyond the sight of the bounding white ball. _______________________________ “Who would foresee dark clouds on a sunny day.” OOC Notes:Now Listening To: “I’ll Meet You There” by Owl CityCurrent Attire: Default Harusagi Attire: Cut Pink Kimono; Red Sash, Long white stockings, wooden sandals Chatty Ditz: -----

Most of the villagers seemed to be retiring into their quiet, comfortable homes as the last warm and golden rays of the sun reached out over the forested horizon of Konoha. There was a contented silence about the village that could only be found on a hot summer day’s end- everyone was finally winding down. The shopkeepers closed their stores, the children said their goodbyes while the adults finished the last of their errands, and even a select few shinobi came from the direction of the gates towards their homes after a day of missions. Everyone was withdrawing back to where they belonged for the night- everyone except for one girl in particular.
The creak of her homes old, wooden door opening was a subtle disturbance to the sound of the rushing water and the hum of bugs around the Naka River where her residence was. Her black monks sandals clicked softly, and the golden bells that hung around her ninja-esque white kimono, and long, luminescent white hair flippantly jingled in a quiet euphony. Her usual wide smile was replaced with something far gentler, and her golden eyes seemed a little reminiscent this evening. Perhaps it was simply because of the peaceful feeling in the air.
Though the day had ended, she was fully equipped with all her regular gear by habit, and locked her door when she shut up- showing she would not be back soon. ‘I think a long walk would do me good tonight’ She thought idly, folding her pale and delicate hands as she walked. ‘Maybe I’ll even add in a little training.’
“Goodnight, Tsuki-sama!” A small boy called to her as she walked by- he was an academy student that she recognized, but he ran off before she could do anything other than flash a smile. People were used to seeing Tsuki leave her home during the night rather than the day. She always found herself much fonder of the night and would become very nocturnal when given the chance (such on days that she didn’t have missions or responsibilities). The cool of the evening soothed her restless mind, and she discovered it was much easier for her to focus on her training amidst the glow of the moon. But it wouldn’t get dark for a while longer; in turn she took her time walking to her destination.
Tsuki crossed the bridge of the river and went towards the recreational fields- or what used to be them since a new family had moved in some time ago. She often saw members out in the fields and would only glance at them in wonder, curious of their abilities. Although she was outgoing, Tsuki found it hard to approach others, or even make eye contact- which therefore never let her actually talk to or witness many members of the family. On this night though, she saw a boy sitting in the grassy arena, with shockingly purple hair. She wasn’t used to seeing a boy in the field; in fact besides him, she’d never seen one there. She slowed down her pace even more a he rose, and began to kick a ball back and forth with a mix of strength and precision.
Her curiosity got the best of her, and she slowed to a near stop. The moons light was just enough to make her stand out obviously- white hair, white clothes, pale skin, and striking golden eyes were not a good combination if what you wanted was stealth. Tsuki was easily distracted, and intrigued by unfamiliar faces. This was a deadly combination for that moment.

“Things are not always so obvious; It always seemed so mundane at a time.” _______________________________ With each pounding punt of the rounded white ball, the eyes of the young ninja had gone to the stars and were lost to them for a moment. It was like his attention was stolen away, the lovely blue sapphires belonged to the constellations within the fleeting night sky. There were few, to no words that passed through his mind other than elegant description, dreamy romanticism, and quotes of grandeur that was of philosophical excellence. He had read enough of romantic literature to put words together that were so uncouth of a young man’s thinking, but it did not matter; to him, it was like a fantasy; and like any other fantasy, the dreaming rabbit was swept away.
The shy little rabbit had been kicking the ball on instinct with each kick of his knees. It bounced back and forth between his legs as he kicked to and fro. It was a basic Harusagi skill to harness leg power, so to him, it was nothing more than one could compare to blinking. However, as he sat so idly by with his legs in motion, the only instinct he had not mastered was his awareness to his surroundings as he stared skyward. It had taken merely moments before the violet haired boy stopped, shivered from shoulder to shoulder from a mysterious chill, and let his eyes finally become aware before he turned to his left shoulder, then right shoulder and that’s when he saw…
“Meeep! A ghost!” He gasped before he spun on his heels and kicked off; the body of the violet haired boy streaked into the greenery of the tall tree while the white ball had fallen to the ground and rolled into a random direction.
The speed and rocketing jump power of the Harusagi clan was amazing.
Sure, he had not seen a ghost and any high-leveled ninja would know for a fact that there was no such thing (or rather it was nearly impossible), but the violet haired boy had become superstitious of the unnatural. Young Xenneth Harusagi had spent so much time in fantasies that he became paranoid of the impossible and the proof being himself hiding amongst the shrubs and branches of the overhead tree.
Ghosts wore excessive white, had unusual colors, and often had very kempt features representing their suggestive “better life” after the dead. The figure before him seemed to reflect those very ideas as the young boy had gazed upon the features of the figure he had taken a notice to that was watching him: nice clothes, unique hair, eyes that reflected a strange hue of gold, and skin so pale that it was like frost; it seemed beautiful in its own way, but in another it was just plain eerie.
“A-are you a ghost?” the rattling of the leaves of the tree nearly rendered the shy boy’s gentle voice inaudible, “Y-you’re a ghost, right? Sorry, I didn’t know that this place was haunted! I promise I’ll tell my family, b-but please don’t haunt me! I don’t think I can take it, a-and…”
The violet haired boy had seemed to carry on in his hectic promises, pleads, and cries as he nervously peeked from beyond the divided leaves that were weighed down by him upon the branches. His shifting blue eyes showing a hilarious, cowardice that matched his piping voice.

“Meeep! A ghost!” Tsuki nearly jumped out of her shoes- well that was an exaggeration. However she did end up on her bottom and a bit shaken.
She had been intensely watching this peculiar individual when he had looked at her suddenly. Although she was unaware that it had been directly at her; forgetting that she could indeed be seen even in night’s shadowy cover. Thus the young kunoichi was very startled when he cried out, and had let out a small whimper when she fell on her hind in surprise.
Rubbing her lower back with a slight wince, her eyes widened with a realization at what he said- but not who had been referring to. “A ghost?!” She gasped, on her feet at once and holding her intertwined hands near her face in fear. In one whirl she turned around to see the apparition for herself, but was a little thrown off when all she saw was the expanse of trees and darkness. No ghoul, no floating white specter, no icy-eyed, and lost being which had returned from another realm. Just the dark silhouette of the forest. From behind her, Tsuki heard what sounded like the pleading voice of her previous focus and grew even more concerned. However it was far too faint to make out what exactly he was saying.
“Wh-where is it?” Her voice was laced with uncertain fear as were her eyes which were busy carefully scanning her surroundings, taking note of any out of place thing. But there seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary there. Turning back to face the compound, Tsuki was surprised to see- er, not see the one who had startled her so much, but finally found him in the brush a bit further back. She could swear he was shaking.
Her heart swelled as it did whenever she saw someone afraid. The girl was far too compassionate and it was mystery how she ever became a successful nin.
“Are you okay?” Her voice was very soft- very feminine- and airy, but clear. And at present, was a bit worried; evidently unaware that is was her he was so afraid of. With careful steps, she moved towards the boy, before stopping and picking up the white ball at her feet. Giving it a once over, she pressed on until she was but yards from his frightened face. Tsuki knelt down, balancing on the balls of her feet and held out the ball to him. “I’m sorry, but I don’t see anything. Maybe you imagined it?” Honestly, Tsuki was not dimwitted, but it was fair to say that she could be oblivious when it came to others.

“Things are not always so obvious; It always seemed so mundane at a time.” _______________________________ “Are you okay?”
Xenneth was a very shy one when it came to such situations. By the time he had discovered that the “ghost” was before him, it had spoken with such a free and soft voice that was so familiar to him. The voice was so calming, so feminine, and at that moment he knew he had not the fear for a specter, but rather a girl. The young rabbit-nin’s eyes had shot open seeing the rounded white sphere before him. It was not the lunar light of the moon, but rather his well-rounded white ball for training. His eyes opened in sheer shock realizing that the elegant fright was offering him the ball.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t see anything. Maybe you imagined it?” She was kind, but not the very brightest, right? A common thing they had as Xenneth smiled awkwardly towards the young woman as he reached his pale hands out and grasped the ball.
“O-oh! Umm…t-thank you…” Xenneth said, eyes going to the young woman. He had to admit, she was very pretty when one was not shrieking in terror when mistaking her for a malevolent pale ghost. Gazing upon her, the young rabbit had pulled back his arms letting the shadows of the leaves dancing across his face while his big blue orbs peaked amongst the leaves and looked her up and down. The very moment he had seen so little of her from amongst his hiding place, he had gradually crawled amongst the thicket to see her fully while peaking his head from the shrubs; his white faux rabbit ears for décor peeking out and then his head and soft expression with face following.
“U-umm, I-I of the Harusagi House welcome you, I-I mean….” his voice drifting as he felt the pressure from being in a presence, especially of that of a lady’s. His cheeks had become so rosy red that it made the strange heart-shaped tattoo print on the right become the shade of blood itself as he spoke once again, “I, Xenneth Harusagi of the Harusagi House, welcome you to our training field!”
He was formal and there was much reasoning why. Being in the main head of the house, the violet haired boy had the pleasure and duty to welcome the villagers to the training field they were assigned to guard as long as they had preoccupied village space. He was not the best when it came to social duties, but when it was necessary, he had taken in a deep breath and shot out a quick welcome like a quick stamp of approval. He only hoped it was good enough for the lady, whom he felt inferior to just by being in her presence.

After quietly thanking her, the young boy who appeared around her age slowly raised his face out of the underbrush. Tsuki giggled lightly when she saw the long ears that sat just so upon his head first, followed by the brightest blue eyes she’d ever seen. They were wide and to her looked very innocent. It was not a laugh meant to mock him, but more so she was so intrigued and pleased to see how very unique he was. It was not every day that you saw someone like him.
He then gave a very formal introduction—or tried to between his stutters; he seemed uncomfortable socializing with another person, or maybe it was just the formality fit him awkwardly. Either way, he managed to welcome her, and Tsuki respected him for it.
“U-umm, I-I of the Harusagi House welcome you, I-I mean….”
Unfamiliar with more noble clans, she assumed he must’ve been an important member if he was being so proper about welcoming her. She’d met a few select kin of other clans, and it was usually only the most influential members who were like this.
“I, Xenneth Harusagi of the Harusagi House, welcome you to our training field!”
Never one to have any personal-space boundaries, when Tsuki noticed the odd shape on his cheek she simply had to reach out to touch it with two fingers, mistaking it for a scratch or smudge since she didn’t look at it too closely. She didn’t look at him in the eyes, and was completely transfixed by this odd marking, realizing upon making contact that it was permanently etched onto this person. And it was in the shape of a heart no less. It wasn’t until she finally noticed the blush on him (the reason that the marking had stood out so much in the first place) that she herself became embarrassed. Her pale skin only turned a slight rosy-peach color upon blushing and she took her hand away.
“Xenneth…” This was said more to herself than him, as if she was memorizing it or getting used to the name. She smiled kindly at him, and then placed the ball she had been holding down . Then, as anyone would do when in the presence of a respectable clan, she stood up and bowed very low with practiced posture.
“Thank you. My name is Kiseki Tsuki and uhm,” her blush increased slightly. “I’m sorry for wandering around your compound so late.” She stood back up and looked at him anxiously. “I was only out for a walk towards the training grounds, and I happened to notice you out in that field and I got kind of- well you see I’m just not used to seeing people out there, especially not a- what I’m meaning to say is…” She nervously prattled on like this, embarrassed and not really paying attention to him any longer; only trying to explain her late night walk.

“Things are not always so obvious; It always seemed so mundane at a time.” _______________________________ His voice was still trembling, but he felt as if he had been formal enough. Xenneth had all, but relaxed, as he let his shoulders stay in that half tense while he fixed his posture. No sooner had he done so, it was the young woman’s reach that had caught him by surprise, and even more so, her touch following as it had made him remain frozen in place as if she had frozen him with the contact. His lips could have let a warm, steamy breath pass with the way he breathed so slowly while he was caught in shock by the female’s touch and his eyes simply stared at her own that seemed to give full attention to the feature across his face.
“Xenneth…” she had said this making him snap to attention. He was ignorant to how she was simply repeating for reference and thought he was being called upon. His face was burning a bright red that warmed it through the chill of the night, and the shaded color of peach on the pale skin of the beautiful young woman only made him wander but not conclude to her mood. His eyes had finally started to follow her form as she placed the ball down and to his dismay, he had found every movement just as mesmerizing. “Thank you. My name is Kiseki Tsuki and uhm…I’m sorry for wandering around your compound so late.” She had went on with Xenneth oblivious to the tone, “I was only out for a walk towards the training grounds, and I happened to notice you out in that field and I got kind of- well you see I’m just not used to seeing people out there, especially not a- what I’m meaning to say is…” Xenneth could only imagine he was making her feel uncomfortable. That could have been it!
The Harusagi family were popular because of their Taijutsu as well as their legendary service in the ninja world. A matter of fact, they were referred to as “Lucky Rabbits” when it came to one ever getting them to work. They were charmers behind a counter or pouring you an expensive glass of sake as well as them having physique that would being admirable on the battlefield when using every muscle as well as by the touch when one were to hug them in affection. Above all else, they were simply like a very dependable set of all-purpose teddy bears that were to children. However, it was because of that reputation as well that they were not taken seriously a lot of times. Young Xenneth was more than aware of this considering his record of being bullied as well as the way others looked at him while wearing his traditional garments of a kimono, long stockings, and rabbit-ear fixtures that were almost like the uniform of the clan, and what’s more, the higher prestigious main branch that had both beauty and brawn.
“I-It’s not a problem!” Xenneth had exclaimed so suddenly, “It’s my fault for stating it upon arrival. I-I wasn’t thinking and thought you were a gh-”
He had paused, daring not to state the ridiculousness of calling the girl some sort of phantom. His eyes classically swiveled to the left as he plunged into his mind looking for a lie to tell.
“G-g-girl…that had malevolent intention?” his horrible correction just barely sticking as he looked at her with a wrinkled smile as Xenneth lied. He felt just as ridiculous lying as he would telling the truth.

Tsuki sheepishly looked at him from where he still sat, and nervously played with her fingers. She was never really embarrassed about her actions until it was too late, and had difficulty finding a reasonable sounding excuse. When he stopped her incessant rambling, she breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
“I-it’s not a problem!” Her eyebrows knit slightly- unsure of whether or not it actually wasn’t a problem. “It’s my fault for stating it upon arrival. I wasn’t thinking and thought you were a gh-“ Xenneth stopped and she waited for him to continue. But felt he was covering something up when he continued with “g-g-girl…that had malevolent intention?”His tone and the questioning ending made it all too obvious that wasn’t what he was going to say. And finally, Tsuki caught on.
With a touch of surprise, she asked “Excuse me, but did you think I was a…ghost?” In no way offended, she asked only out of sheer curiosity. As strange as it may have seemed, no one had ever mistaken the kunoichi for a spirit. Then again, few ever saw Tsuki in such eerie atmosphere. Her skin turned a slightly darker shade of red and lips were turned in a subtle pout.
‘I look frightening?’ She thought, carefully glancing down at herself for a split-second. Even that slight movement made the bells that hung around her ring quietly. ‘Okay, those sound a little ghostly I suppose, but… I guess I never really thought of myself as a specter-type.’ Her expression was a mixture of guilt and confusion.
“I was the one who startled you this badly?” The usual positive nature of her voice was giving way to worry, and her face slipped deeper into a look of culpability. “Oh no… I’m so ashamed! Is there anything I can do to make it up to you? At least let me help you up!” She held out a tiny, pale, and awaiting hand.

“Things are not always so obvious; It always seemed so mundane at a time.” _______________________________ “I was the one who startled you this badly?”
It seemed that she caught on to Xenneth’s rashness. The young rabbit had quickly swallowed his feelings of resentment as he gazed up towards the face of the young female. He resented his cowardly nature, his uncertainty, and his terrible fate for being some heir to the family even though he had such a weak constitution. The sapphire eyes of the young rabbit had seemed to show a shame just seeing the female ninja take note that the reason he was caught off guard and scared was because of how her elegant appearance and unusual colors that made her look like a specter had made him fear the worst (not to mention impossible).
“Oh no… I’m so ashamed! Is there anything I can do to make it up to you? At least let me help you up!”
She was so kind! The young violet haired boy had been hesitant to take up on her offer. The very moment he had gazed to her hand that was offered to him, he saw more than just a simple gesture, but a sincere kindness. He could not turn away such an offer, and with a young woman so fair, he was not sure any man could. Considering the young rabbit was most likely less than a man considering his characteristics, it was like instinct as he reached out his shaky mitt and wrapped it around that of the young woman after giving a nod of his head.
“U-umm, t-thank you, kindly.” the young rabbit showed his appreciation with stutters and a bright red blush. _______________________________ “Who would foresee dark clouds on a sunny day.” OOC Notes:Now Listening To: “I’ll Meet You There” by Owl CityCurrent Attire: Default Harusagi Attire: Cut Pink Kimono; Red Sash, Long white stockings, wooden sandals Chatty Ditz: Sorry, short post before Xen leaves for Florida. 0_0

Everything was beginning to sink in for Tsuki now. She had been mistaken for a ghost, she gathered, but now her mind was picking through all sorts of events that had occurred thus far searching for a different meaning than she had initially picked up. For instance: the blush that colored his face. What was once just a product of embarrassment according to her, the teenage girl’s naïve mind now wondered if it was anything more. And when he finally took her up on her offer and grasped her hand, Tsuki’s breath caught. Once again, he thanked her.
“U-umm, t-thank you, kindly.” Shaking away all her previous thoughts with a curt nod, it was all she could do to smile broadly- a grin that always looked much more wolfish than intended, therefore making it seem a bit mischievous and luring although the young woman truly had the best intentions. It was the two elongated sharp canines that graced her smile that really made everyone think twice.
With a gentle tug, she helped Xenneth off of the ground and up face-to-face with her. Liquid golden eyes met bright blue and she took a very aware step back to allow him some space, letting her hand slip away from his. Her smile had died down a bit, but her eyes did the smiling for her.
The night still retained some of the days warmth, and Tsuki’s mind snapped back into reality after being so enthralled in this meeting; the sound of swaying branches in the soft, cooling wind, the night creatures who chirped and called out without care, and the thud of her heart in her ears (needless to say, she was still embarrassed). The pastel silvery moon hung in the sky, the light of it still making her white hair and insipid, fair skin glow faintly. It was only during the night that her eyes held such a shock value, and during the sunny hours they would look more like a yellowy color than the vibrant gold they were. Only because that moon would not be out to set her aglow. Idly, Tsuki wondered as she looked into his own vibrant eyes if they too would lose their fantastic color if the sun were out, or stay as blue as they were now. She hoped for the latter.
“I really am sorry and I hope that you’re okay now.” She continued, her voice once more mastering the qualities of wind and water- calm and fluid. But her hand still tingled with the contact of his hand, and she suppressed the slight urge to reach out to him again- she always enjoyed contact with others. “I’m surprised you welcomed me so graciously after all that. But I’m really not anything to be frightened of, I promise.” Her smile once more returned as well as a small, self aware laugh. “I have to ask though, how come I’ve never seen you before? Are you a shinobi?” She moved her right calf up slightly to emphasize the leaf ninja hitai-ate tied just below her knee.

“Things are not always so obvious; It always seemed so mundane at a time.” _______________________________ A touch that belonged to someone so fair in more ways than one…
Xenneth was at a loss for words, but this came to no surprise. The young rabbit clan member was mostly secluded from being around the opposite by his own will. He always had sensations that were unable to be controlled like a flavor that etched itself into his tongue. The very moment she had shown him such kindness, the young woman had become a lingering thought that made him interest unconsciously, and within a moment, consciously as he thought just who Kiseki Tsuki was himself.
He almost knew all through familiarity; it was not easy to forget tormentors and the admirable Shinobi of Leaf Village’s militia a time ago. Some would say the young rabbit was a pinky size when he first arrived in the village, an over exaggerated observation that came from his short stature even now sticking out amongst other things since it barely changed along with his feminine physique. The Harusagi Clan was not much to look at unless it was a night filled with the smell of tonic and gen. The clan members were admired for having such voluptuous form and charming attributes that would steal a steeled priest’s attention away from their very God. Unrivaled in beauty and form in and out of battle, the clan members usually received kudos for their traits, but also grim frowns because of promiscuous habits that ingrained themselves in heredity as well.
Even without notice of the lovely young woman’s face, it was certainly calming to some degree.
She had shown a smile that stuck out as sharply as the canines from her mouth after accepting thanks. The young boy may had been shaky when it came to a presence, but one look at the young woman and he had overlooked the teeth. His mind wandered as vast as the sky and was just as accepting to nature’s weather just like it. He, of course, returned an awkward smile that was passive in his temptation to speak what he had thought about the young woman’s unusual appearance that was from head to toe. Even for a moment, he had went back to the notion that perhaps she was some sort of estranged creature of the night that he had read in many romantic fictions that remained in his quarters in towards of worn and read pages.
Xenneth certainly had felt something that moment.
The night passed over just as slowly as a drifting cloud to covet the moon. At such times, he was at his most vulnerable under a blanket of darkness, but it had never come. There was instead a wash of nostalgia as he recalled this scenery, sights, and sounds. He had done so many times before when he trained at night, but it was different this time. With a twitch of the ear, it was clear as the cascading lunar light of the night that this meeting had changed the euphoria of the sports’ field from a training ground to a meeting ground; one that was unforeseen and perhaps the most intricate considering not in all of his time in the village had he had such an awkward meeting as he had forbid himself from ever being alone with anyone besides a Harusagi Family member. It was the way things were considering his position and it gave him security. However, even in its new feeling and discomfort, in a way, it was a pleasant feeling similar to a sudden thrill or spice of life!
“I’m surprised you welcomed me so graciously after all that. But I’m really not anything to be frightened of, I promise.” she laughed lightly raising Xenneth’s awareness. He was not the best with genuine humor in such situations after all. “I have to ask though, how come I’ve never seen you before? Are you a shinobi?”
“Y-yes, I am.” her courteously replied with hands in lap and head nodding with a slight hunch of his back before retaining his regal profile. His hands unraveled themselves as he placed them at his waist revealing the plate of the Leaf Village’s signature emblem engraved on its silver surface in response to the presentation Kiseki’s own. “I-I’m a member of the Harusagi Clan. We’ve recently arrived here, but we mostly are involved in the Village’s…umm…entertainment more than their army.” he had digressed with such deep emphasis; it almost felt like he was lying. However, a “lie” would require her to ask of their special services or his position in the house.
All was fair to him that moment still as he hoped the little non-flourished details remained; the given ignorance and the beauty he had given it too. _______________________________ “Who would foresee dark clouds on a sunny day.” OOC Notes:Now Listening To: “I’ll Meet You There” by Owl CityCurrent Attire: Default Harusagi Attire: Cut Pink Kimono; Red Sash, Long white stockings, wooden sandals Chatty Ditz: Xen’s back! When he spoke of ‘entertainment’ rather than militia, her mind took her from there. But the awkward innocence that still desperately clung to her heart washed away her thoughts and instead of investigating further she gave an interested nod and smile of approval—unsure of whether or not to press the matter although her curiosity remained.
“Oh, I see.” She did not ‘see’. Some part of her did, but being so young at heart also gave her an unquenchable thirst to know everything there was to know about anything. The girl was unfamiliar with the Harusagi Clan, and every other clan for that matter. If she let herself the questions could keep coming until the sun rose, so she held her tongue to be polite. Tsuki subconsciously adjusted her stance to something more relaxed and familiar; one leg out further and placed a hand on her hip, not thinking twice about the formality of the situation.
Looking at the boy who seemed like such a nervous individual, Tsuki had to think if it was her presence making him this way or if he was always like this. She’d never known herself to be a very intimidating person- even on the battlefield when she had thrown all smiles aside and erupted with snarls and nasty looks, she was still mocked and underestimated. Being of average height, and very petite in frame, one could easily underestimate her strength as the capable kunoichi she was.
‘However, it could be he’s like this because I’m a girl.’ The thought only passed by for a second before she inwardly laughed it off. She was not completely oblivious to the fact that she may appear as attractive to others; she’d been the object of others affection before, but only for fleeting moments of her youth. Now in growing up, many of the men who once fawned over her were no longer interested in this child-like, giddy, and elfin girl. They’d moved on to conventional beauty- which yes she had, but who would want to end up with this nocturnal and luminous thing? In retrospect, her odd appearance did make for interesting first impressions. Although Tsuki herself didn’t know exactly why she ended up with such unique genes; her mother was a simple looking woman, although a strict and stoic one having once been a very successful nin from Kirigakure. Her father? She didn’t know a single thing about her father except that she had been born, and therefore must have one in some respect.
Her eyes glanced back at the ball he had been practicing with earlier, and her pupils dilated with childlike appeal. “If I may ask, why are you out so late?” Tsuki’s head tilted slightly to the side before looking back at Xenneth. She’d wasn’t used to seeing others out after dark; Konoha usually grew somewhat derelict when the sun went down- few came out to enjoy the splendor of the night.
(OOC: I'm sorry if this isn't the most well written reply, the light of the screen made me dizzy..damn migraines. Thanks again for being patient.)

“Things are not always so obvious; It always seemed so mundane at a time.” _______________________________ “Oh, I see.”
She saw? She couldn’t have! Either way, the very thought that the fair Kunoichi comprehended what the rabbit meant made his cheeks blush a bright red while he lowered his head to his kimono-cut color and grunted. He was ashamed and he was not sure why. To be in the industry of “Service and Industry” was nothing too terrible! Everyone had done their part in the village and those words were quoted from a very wise elder that was within the family. However, he had always felt a lot of shame and embarrassment seeing that their “services” were usually within the most elaborate of night pubs and they were displayed in shops like a fragrant sample to eyes and smells.
The clean white rabbit fur capes usually were unique and had such rich smell after all. The texture of the very wool worn by the Harusagi clan caused the most sensitive of romantics to rage!
Redeeming traits or perhaps the family shame? The violet-haired boy was not yet decided. It was fortunate if you were female since they were so common, but the males born were rare! Most of those in the clan were married into which made the male ration while the rest were the unique female born by genetics. However, every once and a while, even genetics would like to play a joke and have a change of pace, and Xenneth Harusagi cursed in his nights and beckoned to whatever force why it had to be him?
He was five feet barely, and just by making the height comparison looking upon the young woman, he would remind himself and his face would light up with that rosy shade. He had so many things to feel inferior about that the face color seemed so natural when he stood in the presence of the kunoichi. Her new stance let her stand out reminding him that her gender made her a natural ability: that to appreciate beauty no matter what form it came in. Her leg forth made him draw his ball of his heel up as if he could spin on his toes and run away, but he did not. Her hand position on her hip had given him hint on her curves as in his wildest dreams his mind went back to the romantic novels that stacked high in his quarters.
On a night like this, such an unusual individual, and eyes that aroused so many questions; the rabbit had to remain quiet so that he could not talk through the night with stuttering voice and awkward feelings.
“If I may ask, why are you out so late?”
Then again, temptation was so cruel when it plotted with timing!
“Umm…training,” he piped simply while curving his body, squatting he legs, and sweeping of the white ball with his hands. “I like training at night.” he added shyly and in such a reserved manner. Who would want to listen to him and his opinions? He was barely anyone during the day even when he was one of the heir of the clan, but amongst the night where he was alone and met such strange animals and passing ninja unknown: he was just a silly boy with silly little fantasies. _______________________________ “Who would foresee dark clouds on a sunny day.” OOC Notes:Now Listening To: “I’ll Meet You There” by Owl CityCurrent Attire: Default Harusagi Attire: Cut Pink Kimono; Red Sash, Long white stockings, wooden sandals Chatty Ditz: Aww! That rosy color that stained his face- there it was again! Had she done something wrong? Ever the optimist, Tsuki kept her head and hopes high. But the way his voice sounded deflated her charisma, and she felt ashamed for sticking around so long in his clans training field, taking up his time.
“Umm…training.” Mentally kicking herself for not connecting the dots, her eyes slowly lowered away from him. Her stance become once more aware with erect posture and folded hands hidden away in the long sleeves of her kimono. “I like to train at night.” His response was so concise! Although she would give it one last go and looking upon him once more she mustered up the friendliest look she could and the softest and most magnetic voice possible to her.
“A thing we have in common.” A tender smile to top it off yet Tsuki felt no less an irritation- a striking contrast to the quiet night that didn’t seem to fit quite right. In an instant her face matched his in color. Just like that her smile was wiped away and she looked up at the moon overhead momentarily feeling awestruck by its glow as always. The girl watched it in its silent nocturne, waiting to regain confidence to look back to her company. When she did though, it did not go quite as planned.
“I must be bothering you, please forgive me!” It was meant to be spoken in what she considered her formal voice, but came out too quickly and ended up more like a juvenile plea. Her eyes had closed and her body acted on its own in a terse bow. It was not the friendly and formal apology which you would give to a new acquaintance; it was more like a child asking for forgiveness from a sensei or parent after stepping out of line.
More embarrassed than ever by the tone she had just expressed, the young woman’s face was tainted with a darker shade and peaking at him under thick lashes, whispers of white hair fell in front of her delicate face. Tsuki became less the quintessence of the moon, and more the epitome of guilty and discomfited youth.

“Things are not always so obvious; It always seemed so mundane at a time.” _______________________________ “A thing we have in common.”
“Really now?” Something he could not say out loud. However, just by hearing he shared something in common with someone, anyone, he felt somewhat more at ease as he gazed upon the young woman. His eyes had gone to her, stealing a glance as they shifted, but only found he had gotten away with it. Her own orbs were digressing, gazing at something way high that he had not noticed until he had looked on as well, and there it was giving life to the glow of his sapphire colored eyes.
The lunar light of the moon seemed to attract her, and to Xenneth’s fascination, it only had made her seem all the more “normal” if he could ever fathom such a thing. He did not often find people who would get lost within the beauty of the night. It was rare just to even see someone who was lost in watching anything for him: flowers, cascading rays of sun, the steam of a fresh hot spring were all the things that had filled him with such ecstasy. Romance was in his blood as he was the promiscuous Harusagi Clan member at heart. They would often stop, wonder about the beauty of the world and imagine the thought of basking in it and adding “love” like a cup ingredient always was their advised recipe for a perfected moment.
However, he had to submerge such thoughts of such whimsy in the presence of a lady, to ignore his nature completely since in truth, he hated that nature more than anything.
“I must be bothering you, please forgive me!”
Such a bow as Xenneth had heard the plea. It was so unnecessary. The very moment he had seen such a thing, he was quickly flashed back to memory of being at the household as many would apologize to him. It seemed silly seeing the other clan members treat him like royalty why he was nothing noble of the rank. He was just a child, and probably one of many since the Harusagi Clan was abundant in numbers when it came to multiplicity. They prided themselves on their rabbit nature so much that sometimes other shinobi would find them fearful in numbers but hilarity in their nature.
“P-please! Please!” the violet haired boy said as he looked upon the young woman’s snow white hair. His hands had wavered before his chest as he tried to beckon her to her upright position. He had even gone as far as patted her shoulder accidently before drawing back as if he had touched the hottest surface and stroked his hand in shame. To touch a young lady was a taboo of a temptation for him.
“I-I mean…” he ached to speak, “Please, rise! There’s no need! You’re not bothering me at all.” he pleaded in modesty, contrary to his earlier scare. He just wanted her to be rid of her shame. In the young rabbit’s opinion, he was nothing worthy of it.

The instant his hand had passed over her, Tsuki’s senses shot through the roof. It was something she had not expected, and with contracted eyes she watched him carefully. Dumbfounded by the simplest contact that she hadn’t initiated, the young woman was momentarily but a marionette who didn’t think twice when she rose from the bow after he bid her to do so.
“I- I mean…” His hand had shot away from her as if he touched fire. “Please, rise! There’s no need! You’re not bothering me at all!” And as her wits returned to her, with hands held up near her chest and the remnants of a blush, she appeared much younger; all the luminous and delicate features that bestowed her seemed more like false pretenses to what she now was. She nodded slowly as if to show she was considering believing that what he said was true and she was not a nuisance. Looking upon his face, calm consumed her with the genuine benevolence she saw in his person. Like that a light smile returned to her—always with the shifting emotions, it was a curse of hers.
It was impossible to say how much time had passed since their meeting; though Tsuki imagined it could not have been too long at all. The moon hung in much the same place as it did originally and the same sounds originated from the surrounding woods. Her intentions for this night had been pushed from her mind until he had brought up training, and suddenly an idea hatched
“Xenneth…” It sounded strange to her at first, and she did not know exactly how to ask this question- afraid it may come off rude to ask to take up more of his own time. “I-If you don’t mind, would you like to spar? Since you were training and all!” Becoming aware of how strange it may be to ask to fight (even if it was only a sparring match) with a person you just met, she shook her head quickly with a silly smile that withered into a calm and endearing one. “Or perhaps going on a walk would be more fitting. It’s a wonderful night- and it’d be a shame to spend it alone doing conventional things. Especially after such a nice meeting.”

“Things are not always so obvious; It always seemed so mundane at a time.” _______________________________ She had a smile again?
It was unusual for Xenneth to look upon a girl who smiled after making such a display. Usually, they would slink away or leave immediately. This was unusual for him, a feeling that was like a new experience and he had much of those lately when he walked through the inner workings of Konohagakure. The young rabbit would learn something new every day as he was not use to walking within the confines of the village. The young woman’s delicate features and contentment made her seem all the more young and innocent compared to the air of maturity that made Xenneth seem so inferior moments ago. Gazing upon her hand gestures that was at her upper body as if she was drawing upon something dear and her face, Xenneth could not help but to turn a cheek to her once again showing it ripened red from his own shame.
“Xenneth…” his eyes drawn back to her as Xenneth had looked upon her, “I-If you don’t mind, would you like to spar? Since you were training and all!”
“A spar?!” his thoughts cried out.
“Or perhaps going on a walk would be more fitting. It’s a wonderful night- and it’d be a shame to spend it alone doing conventional things. Especially after such a nice meeting.” That certainly did not make Xenneth any calmer as he heard the kunoichi’s second suggestion.
The young violet haired boy was a lover, not a fighter. It was another trait of his clan actually. Fighting was so rare for him, and when it was time, usually it was not against girls or shinobi of his own village. Young Xenneth had spent so much time simply training that he did not think he would see a battle or fight unless it was absolutely necessary, and even then, he had such low confidence. He was barely considered worthy militia unless he had his confidence and his character had told so little about his potential. However, outside of a need for ninja to fight, something like this was so much more different.
“Well, umm…a spar is a bit much,” he had admitted as he looked towards the young woman, “But a walk sounds very pleasant!”
Honestly, Xenneth still felt trapped in a rock and a hard place. A spar was against the little rabbit’s nature, but a walk with a young woman was pressure against his character. He was not good at being around girls, and on such a splendid night where the air was as cool and chilling as the softest blanket that beckoned the warmth of another, he felt like it was as if he was having an outing, and why would one not take advantage for someone so fair? All of his senses thought these thoughts to be of hereditary source, denying those feelings as anything more than the awkward trait of the rabbit clan’s promiscuity and romanticism.
All of those suspicions of his own thoughts aside, the young boy had simply placed his hands to his lap and was silent. His blue orbs had set themselves upon the kunoichi as he stepped aside and gestured a shaky hand meekly to his side to walk in tandem with her. He had ignored those past thoughts, passed them off as simply spurs of the moment that were caused by his wild imagination and interest in the arts of affection and honest emotion that he admired in the past of images illustrated from the most intricate and detailed words on pages.
These feelings were brought on by the beauty of woman and nature like any other well-written story, were they not? _______________________________ “Who would foresee dark clouds on a sunny day.” OOC Notes:Now Listening To: “I’ll Meet You There” by Owl CityCurrent Attire: Default Harusagi Attire: Cut Pink Kimono; Red Sash, Long white stockings, wooden sandals Chatty Ditz: -----

“A spar would be a bit much.” He confirmed her thoughts and she waited to hear the rest of his answer. “But a walk sounds very pleasant!” Victory! Unable to hold it in, she showed a large smile of gratitude, nodding happily. He had gestured for her to begin walking but the direction he indicated was not exactly the route she planned to take. Tsuki swiftly glanced around the area, gathering her bearings- and then immediately turned around away from him, in the direction of the dense woods (the path she had originally been set on).
"Wonderful! Come on then!" The curious kunoichi was very obviously delighted.
The forest shade was even darker than the open space of the field, where the moon could illuminate the ground and foliage. The canopy of tall trees fully blacked out the sky, excluding select portions where the leaves and branches of opposite vegetation did not quite reach one another. The ground looked for the most part, undisturbed—which made it hard to believe she knew where she was going. But after so many years of walking the area, it became like second nature to her. Tsuki was ever familiar with the woodland of Konoha’s outer reaches.
After taking a few steps in the desired direction, she turned back and beckoned him to follow with smiling eyes. Not really sure of where she was headed, she was just pleased to be in another’s presence. And maybe take him someplace he had never been before; she always loved surprising others. Without a sound, she began walking into the dark comfort of the shadows with a contended smile, wondering if her company would mind taking any alternate routes.

“Things are not always so obvious; It always seemed so mundane at a time.” _______________________________ She had a large smile, more than usual. With those teeth, he would have sworn she was like a beast preying on a helpless little rabbit, but he did not see the canines this time around. The young boy had felt good vibes coming from that emanating smile, and as the mysterious kunoichi had turned her attention to an alternate route, the young rabbit felt as if he was a stray lamb being lead into the dark. His fingers stroked the smooth surface of the white ball that he held within his hand and his blue orbs kept onto the form of the young woman that was enveloped by the backdrop of forest and shade that she faced.
"Wonderful! Come on then!"
Her delight as alluring as it was mystifying. Xenneth had seldom to encounter those who were even this content to have him as a presence or accompaniment; it was usually the other way around. His feet were heavy, and they had become even more weighed as he dragged to be at the young woman’s side as she led their miniscule party. The boy was not very good when it came to being around the opposite sex, something that was stressed and stretched as long as the most flexible rubber. His mind twisted with so many different open possibilities as he had drifted to that world of fantasy he had always read about: mystery, murder, or romance? Any of the three could occur considering the young woman was something that was fresh out of a world of his imagination in some small ways: cloaked in the purest of white in both cloth and flesh, and with mannerisms that undermined his own unusual appearance that was usually a beacon to some.
Xenneth had seen her eyes every now and again, filled with some sort of light whenever they would lay upon him and see him follow. He had to stray away from meeting them with his own as he was not one to acknowledge such strong feelings of happiness. He was usually gazing into the eyes of those that looked at him oddly, and he would often tug at his own fixture of rabbit ears, kimono robes, or long stockings that were of his clan’s trademark attire. He stuck out like the blistered finger on the softest of hands. The only thing that was more intriguing than the sight of the young woman was the direction in whence they were traveling.
“You must walk this way often,” he assumed with a hint of curiosity to where he was traveling, “You’re traveling somewhere familiar to you in these parts of the woods, yes? I never explore beyond the family’s training grounds myself.” he had detailed. Already, he had gotten shivers just from journeying away from the village’s sports field.

As Tsuki walked, her hands naturally clasped together rather than remaining at her sides and for a moment, she closed her eyes to bask in the familiar shadows. It was comforting to hear the click of sandals besides her own walking in tune near her; it wasn’t often she was accompanied to many places. Even when fulfilling contractual duties, the nin was rarely sent with a team or companion. She was found more effective as a solo kunoichi, which went harshly against her character and often times made her cold and serene when on the battlefield. Being alone was not healthy for the young girl.
“You must walk this way often.” Opening one eye to look curiously at him, he continued. “You’re travelling somewhere familiar to you in these parts of the woods, yes? I never explore beyond the family’s training grounds myself.” Without taking notice that he could possibly be uncomfortable wandering into the unknown with a perfect stranger, she couldn’t help but smirk.
“Even better!” Stopping for only fractions of a second, on impulse she took his hand and changed route once again—this time at a quicker pace. ‘How strange that he’d never gone out to take advantage of such a wonderful place?’ Her mind was boggled; the forest was her home, her training arena, her shrine; a trifecta of all it could be. Looking back onto his shy and polite face, she felt some sort of excitement and honor to be the one to show him around such a magnificent place.
They seemed to be in the middle of the dark woods, and theirs was not the only sounds that disturbed it’s slumber. But truly, she knew they weren’t too far from the wall of the village, and were just skirting along it’s outside around to the back.
“You’ll love this place, I’m sure of it!” She flashed him a bravura smile without missing a beat.
