Well, I've got a few codes to make the site look nicer. Because we all know that sites should look nice for the people playing on them, right? Anyway, if you want to take them, you can. If you don't, don't.
It's as simple as that. At the bottom there will also be suggestions for the site as well.
This is a coding meant for changing the size of the tables in your board. I did copy your banner over to get dimensions, but then deleted it as soon as receiving it once I did get the dimensions. So now you can put it on your board and thin things up. This way more of your background shows on the site and everything doesn't seem so spread out, like paragraphs.
If this one doesn't work, tell me and I'll try to fix the coding. It should though, if I've done it correctly.
A word counter is an essential part of many websites whose requirements are based off of how much information is being told. This helps new members realize when they are short on posts and older members realize if they may have forgotten the requirements. It's a simple thing that can be used for a number of reasons. This counts the number of words someone will have for a PM or a Post.
That's all the codes I have for now. But now, onto the suggestions and questions that go with them...
Perhaps we could get accepted profiles moved and such and clean up the forum a bit? I know it's much to ask since I just joined. But the site does look a little sloppy because of it. :\ I don't know, just a suggestion since it's been a while since you guys started.
And by moved, I mean moved out of the registration board and into something like a sub-board called "Approve Characters" so that you can just move them there when they're good to go and they're not cluttering the space next to the characters who haven't been approved. I've seen a few approved characters who are just sitting in the "Kage's Records" board, next to a bunch of other profiles that aren't accepted yet. >_>
An Affiliations Board?
I know it's much to ask, and you guys do have a spam board... but that spam board is filled with spam and such. A board where guests can post their website ads and stuff will add in more people visiting this site because we can link back with them. But in order to do so the site would have to go guest friendly. And I know people who run sites are always like "Promote our site, not theirs >", but if proboards sites can work in a community with one another the roleplayers will be more proactive as there will be more to do and they'll be more willing to join other sites and still remain the ones that they like.
That's all for now. I'll post back later with more suggestions and coding for the site. Also, these are open codings, so anyone can use them for their site as well, if they wish to do so. But if you do use this for another site besides this one, can you link back to our site by putting the following coding within your banner or somewhere on the site?
